Dark Horse announces digital releases for Whedonverse titles – revised again

Dark Horse Comics, publisher of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse and Angel titles, has announced the availability of its Whedonverse books for download through Digital.DarkHorse.com.

Currently available are the first twenty issues of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 8, as well as Season 9 #1,2  and 3. Online already are Joss Whedon’s Serenity, Fray and Dr. Horrible series. Issues are typically $1.99, and can also be downloaded through the Dark Horse Comics app for iPhone and iPad,

“This marks another important turning point in Dark Horse’s digital initiative,” said Dark Horse president and founder, Mike Richardson. “Joss Whedon’s incredible characters have become some of our most popular, and now fans from all over the world can see them like they never have been seen before!”

Dark Horse plans to release a mix of new and backlist titles weekly.

Note: Dark Horse reports that ANGEL issues 1-9  along with new Angel & Faith 1-3 are available today, November 17.
