Paley Center TV Mixtapes screen Once More With Feeling

Whedonite in The City? New York’s Paley Center for Media has launched a summer “TV Mixtape” series, starting with “Hotter than Hellmouth”— and featuring a screening of the musical Buffy episode “Once More With Feeling.”

The series showcases selections from the Center’s collection, with a unique twist, offering a compilation of classic videos and rare programs, along a particular theme.

The Paley Center describes the Hotter than Hellmouth mix as including “clips from iconic spine-chillers like Twin Peaks, The X-Files, and The Night Stalker, we are also hell-bent on making you laugh—the Devil be damned!—and surprising you with highlights from our collection of commercials, international programs, talk shows, and music videos, plus a musical montage we’ve produced especially for the occasion.”

The presentation runs two-hours long, with “Once More with Feeling” anchoring the second hour. Screenings are every Thursday at 6PM and weekends at 2PM, through August, in the 200-seat Bennack Theater. Attendance is free for Paley Center members, with nominal charges for non-members.

The Paley Center for Media is at 25 West 52 Street in midtown Manhattan.
