With the premiere to Torchwood: Miracle Day around the corner, Starz and BBC have announced that a 10-episode motion comic and game will expand the story with additional clues to the series. The comic will be released as part of an iPhone app “Torchwood: Web of Lies” available shortly before the airing of the series July 8 on Starz.
The motion comic stars Eliza Dushku, voicing the character of Holly Mokri in a parallel storyline to the show, attempting to unravel the mystery of the “Miracle Day.” Each week, additional content for the app will be available shortly after the broadcast. The initial download and first episode is free, while more weekly content can be purchased in the app for 99 cents per block of three — or all at once for $2.99.
