  • Fans have never gotten over the abrupt cancellation of Joss Whedon's  Firefly by Fox, and the wounds go deep. That yearning has resulted in a fan base that is very much alive and kicking nearly eight years following the finale episode, "Serenity," which aired December 20, 2002. Not even the follow-up film of the same name could quell the need for more of this fascinating 'verse.
